The Kern High School Teachers for Student Achievement is a nonprofit organization formed by teachers in the Kern High School District. Teachers donations are used to award academic and vocational scholarships to K.H.S.D. students of need in Kern County.
In 2023, the KHSTSA will award 10 or more, $500.00 scholarships. Scholarships will be awarded to students who plan to continue their academic or vocational education after graduating.
All graduating seniors in the Kern High School District, Class of 2023, that plan to attend a vocational school, a certificate program at a community college, a trade apprentice program, junior college, college or university in the fall of 2023 are eligible to apply. (Children of donating teachers are not eligible for this scholarship program.)
Applicants must complete the 2023 KHSTSA online application form and upload the 3 required PDF documents (see below). The form must be filled out completely and have the appropriate signatures. In addition, the applicant must submit the following three documentations that must be uploaded at the time you apply:
Completed applications and required documents must be submitted by April 11th, 2023.

All applications will be reviewed by the KHSTSA Board of Directors. Board members are current and retired teachers from the Kern High School District and Kern High School Teachers Association.
