How It Works

The number of scholarships available will be dependent upon the amount of contributions from teachers like you. Scholarships will be awarded based upon academic merit and economic need.

Application materials submitted by eligible students will be screened by the teachers that comprise the KHSTSA Board of Directors. Scholarship recipients will be announced during the spring semester of each school year.

You can donate in two ways

1. Sign up for direct deposit through the Kern High School District payroll department. Your monthly contribution will be donated automatically.

2. You may make a one-time donation directly to KHSTSA either at our local Kern High School Teachers Association office or through your Site Representative.

Payroll Deduction Form

Is my donation tax deductible?

Yes, KHSTSA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All contributions are tax deductible.

How much of my donation actually goes toward scholarships?

KHSTSA does not compensate its Officers or Board of Directors in any way. All contributions after minimal administrative costs go directly to the students.

Please Note: Family members of Board members, Officers, or donors are not eligible to receive scholarships.
